Tornado Warning in Discovery Bay

When I thought of buying a house in Discovery Bay last year, I figured there would be HOT ass weather in the summer time ... but ... I sure as heck never counted on funnel clouds!!

We hunkered down in the garage ... under a work bench with the dogs. We figured it was the safest place in the house as there were no windows. Of course, if a tornado had struck, we probably would have been taken out by flying debris ... but oh well ... the garage was the best we could do. Seriously ... who thinks of tornadoes in Discovery Bay???

We left the tv on in the gym so we could check for updates ... here's a picture I took of the Weather Channel:



Being the geeks that we are ... we also had our laptop with us ... so we were able to update Twitter and check the status of the 'tornado warning' online via the National Weather Service website.

Fortunately, the warning was called off by 2pm PST. I'd like to believe that we'd never have to worry again about funnel clouds ... but ... I wouldn't be money on it!!
